TAXILA: A man shot dead his 26-year-old sister-in-law in broad daylight when she was going to the bazaar in Fatehjang town of Attock on Wednesday, police sources said.
Hammad Riffat reported to the police that his sister was married to Haseeb Khan, and on Wednesday, she was going to the bazaar when Haseeb`s brother, Adnan, intercepted her near Mumtaz Plaza and shot her.
As a result, she died on the spot. Later, Rescue 1122 shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (T HQ) Fatehjang.Mr Riffat has attributed the cause of the murder to a domestic dispute, while the police have handed over the body for burial after an autopsy and registered a murder case against the nominated accused.
Murder convict sentenced to death A teenage murder convict was senttothegallowsonWednesday for killing his friend over a petty dispute within the limits of Wah Cantonment Police Station in November 2022.Besides, the court also imposed a fine amounting to Rs500,000.
As per the FIR registered at Wah Cantonment Police Station, the accused, Mohammad Arsalan, had shot dead his friend Jawad Ali and fled away; however, later police arrested him from his hideout.
During the trial, the prosecution produced substantial evidence against the accused which verified his involvement and subsequently, the convict was sentenced to death. Correspondent
