ADVOCACY

AGHS is the leading law firm in Pakistan behind which other organizations have rallied on legal reforms and it is quite often consulted by law-making bodies when formulating or proposing reforms to lobbying with legislators touching upon human rights.

AGHS has initiated and been a part of advocacy campaigns on human rights issues that have led to important constitutional, legislative and policy changes and measures, improving judicial sensitivity to human rights violations and creating public awareness on human rights.

Advocacy is carried out through the dissemination of human rights material in written and audio-visual forms; lectures, seminars and press conferences; mass communication for awareness; and lobbying with legislating bodies, policy-makers and media.

AGHS also carries out research on legal and social issues that affect the situation of human rights.
