Two young men killed in Swabi over marriage issue – 20 May 2022
SWABI: Two cousins were killed for marrying two women of a family without consent of their parents in Razaar tehsil here the other day, said police.
The two were identified as Nazim Khan, 28, and Qasim Khan, 27, both residents of Sheraghund village. They had gone to meet their relatives in Kernal Sher Khan village and were returning on their motorcycle when their rivals opened firing on them.
As a result, they were seriously injured and died on way to hospital.
When contacted, SHO Ajab Durrani said that the two cousins had married with two women of the family without consent of their parents, which caused the rivalry.
An FIR has been registered against Qasim Ali, Fazal Mohammad and Hamid Khan.
POWER OUTAGES: People of Sheikh Jana village staged a protest demonstration against excessive power outages here the other day.
The protesters marched to the main Swabi-Mardan road and blocked it to traffic. Later, they ended the protest when theywere assured by Pesco officials that the time of power outages would be reduced.
