Two motorcycle lifters arrested in Wah – 07 Nov 2022

TAXILA: Wah Cantonment police on Sunday busted a gang of motorcycle snatchers and arrested its two members besides recovery of seven motorcycles from them.

According to a police spokesman, the Wah Cantonment police, acting on a tip off, raided the hideout of a gang and recovered seven motorcycles, mobile phones and weapons utilised in different snatching activities.

The spokesman said that the gang’s two members were arrested while a hunt has been launched to arrest the rest.

The spokesman further said that the ring leader Bilal is already a proclaimed offender (PO) in various snatching cases lodged against him in Wah Saddar and Wah Cantonment police station.

Separately, Taxila police on Sunday arrested a man who shot dead his sister over a dispute. According to a police spokesman, the suspect shot dead his sister over a domestic dispute on Friday and escaped. Police traced him at his hideout and sent him behind bars.

Moreover, burglars broke into Government Boys High School in Lub Meel village in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantonment police station and took away the CCTV system, computers and other accessories worth Rs400,000.
