DIJKOT: Three people were booked on Monday over shaving the hair of a transgender woman in Garh. Police arrested one of the suspects, Waseem, fter registering the case against them. The incident took place on Sunday, when the transgender woman, Lubna alias Kashi, was allegedly tortured and her hair was shaved by the suspects. The police said the suspects had a dispute with the victim and they had shaved her hair as punishment. Two of the suspects in the case are still at large. The police said that they are investigating the incident and would act against the other two suspects as well. The victim has been provided medical assistance and is recovering, an official said.
