In one case, a woman was taken advantage of under false promise of marriage
Three women and two children were raped in Khurrianwala. According to police, a case was registered at the Civil Line Police Station by one of the victims, a resident of Ghafoorabad, Chiniot.
The complainant told the police that her husband had kicked her out of the house five months ago for not having children. After that she started living with a friend of hers in 215 RB Netheri.
She said that she met Tahir Altaf, a resident of 173 GB, a month-and-a-half ago.
The complainant said that Tahir expressed his sympathies to her over her predicament, and they started talking to each other regularly on the telephone. She alleged that the suspect told her to get a divorce from her husband and then he would marry her.
The complainant alleged that Tahir invited her to dinner the other evening, and a friend of his, Tawheed Ahmed, was also present there who bought pizza from a restaurant near the Gaitanwala Chowk and took them to a building where the accused Adeel, a watchman, Malik and others had already been present, and they were drinking alcohol and smoking charas, and “they forcibly raped me and my friend at gunpoint”, and during this time, “accused Adeel apologized to us for his mistake”, said the police report.
