Three `missing` sisters recovered – 06 May 2022
TOBA TEK SINGH: Three sisters, who had allegedly been `kidnapped` from Qaim Bharwana locality of Shorkot tehsil (Jhang district) some three months ago, were recovered from Gujranwala on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference at Jhang on Thursday evening, Jhang investigation SP Usman Munir Saifi said on Jan 17 Khizar Hayat`s three daughters -Fauzia (19), Muqaddas(17)andFatima (9) -had gone missing from their home and their brother Junaid Imran had got a kidnap case registered against unidentifiedmen with Waryamwala police.
He added that af ter geofencing and inspecting call data of 1,350 mobile phone numbers, police finally recovered them from Gujranwala`s Wapda Town area.
The girls told the investigators that they left their house due to domestic quarrels between parents and [alleged] torture of them. The girls said they [first] stayed at Toba Tek Singh and then at Faisalabad and Data Darbar, L ahore.
District Police Officer Hassan Asad Alvi has announced cash prizes and certificates for the police teams who chased and recovered them.
