KARACHI: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man, along with two his two accomplices, on charges of killing his three-year old niece and wounding his sister in Surjani Town three days ago in the name of so-called honour.
The police said that on Sept 28, Meerab was wounded and her daugh-ter, Jannat, 3, killed in their home in Siddig Goth of Surjani Town. The police registered the murder case.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and arrested three suspects, including a woman.
Among the held suspects were the injured woman`s brother, mother and brother-in-law.The police said that during the preliminary probe, the suspects `confessed` to have injured the woman and killed her daughter over `honour`.
They were identified as Adil Nasir (brother), Shaikh Masood (brother-in-law) and Ms Farzana Nasir (mother).-Staff Reporter
