CHICHAWATNI: A private school teacher in Bangla Okanwala has been accused of sexually assaulting and blackmailing a 9th class student. The incident came to light after the victim’s mother reported the matter to the police. According to the police report, the victim’s mother, stated that her 13/14-year-old daughter, who is an orphan, was studying at the private school. The teacher, identified as Muzammil Hussain, allegedly forced the young girl into a room four months ago, where he allegedly raped her. After the assault, he continued to harass and blackmail her.
The Bangla Okanwala police conducted a medical examination of the victim upon receiving the report. They have registered a case (202/23) against the accused under Section 376 TP, relating to sexual assault. Muzammil Hussain has been arrested, and samples from the victim’s medical examination have been sent to the PFSA (Punjab Forensic Science Agency) laboratory for testing. Seeking justice for her daughter, the victim’s mother has appealed to Punjab’s Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, to take notice of the incident and ensure that the accused faces appropriate consequences for his actions.
