Rivals kill woman, her minor son in Charsadda – 04 Apr 2023

CHARSADDA: Rivals shot dead a woman and her one-month-old son inside her house over a longstanding enmity in Katozai area of Shabqadar tehsil here on Monday, the police said.

Police and locals identified the victims as 24-year-old wife of Zakria and her one-month-old son, Yusuf.

Ms Nusrat, mother-in-law of the deceased woman, got registered a double-murder case in the Shabqadar police station against assailants, including Tariq and his son, Fahad, residents of the same Katuzai locality, and Parvez and others of Sarikh Marozai area.

Zakria, husband of the deceased woman, who is a daily wager, was not present at home when the rivals entered his house and shot dead his wife and son.

Meanwhile, a man was stabbed to death while three others got injuries in a clash between two groups in Battgram area. Both the parties attacked each other with knives, the police said.

One of the injured, Syed Shah of Mouza Battgram, reported to the Battgram police that he along with his 56-year-old brother, Nasir Khan and 20-year-old son, Abdur Rehman was standing outside his house, when accused Manzoor, Kausar Niazi and Ziyarat Gul of Mathra area attacked them with knives after an altercation. As a result, he said they all got injuries and were shifted to a hospital. However, he said his son, Abdul Rahman, succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.

Ziyarat Gul from the other side also suffered wounds during the scuffle.
