Prisoner attempts suicide – 17 May 2022
RAWALPINDI: An under-trial prisoner attempted suicide by hitting his head against the iron bars of his cell in Adiala jail on Sunday.
Assistant Superintendent Adiala jail, Munawar Hussain lodged an FIR against the prisoner, a residentofDhoke Syedan.
He was allegedly involved in three robbery cases of Lohi Bher police station and was housing in cell number 1.
After he got himself injured, he was given medical treatment by the jail doctor and his condition was stable.
When Asad Javaid Warriach, superintendent jail was contacted, he said that the injured was provided medical assistance by the jail doctor and his condition was stable. Staff Reporter
