KARACHI: Police have failed to trace a girl missing since 11years. A two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phulpoto heard a petition about recovering a missing girl. The girl’s father said he has been searching for his daughter Maryam for 11 years. “I have accrued debt of RS280,000 in search of my daughter. Who on earth will give us justice? Where should a poor man go for justice? After the disappearance of the child, phone calls for ransom kept coming. The police did not investigate them either”, said the father. The court expressed anger at the police authorities for failing to find the girl. Justice Nimatullah Phulpoto remarked that the po-lice performance regarding the case was disappointing. If the missing people are not traced, the court will order to register cases against investigating officer and IG Sindh. “Please don’t force us to file a case against everyone responsible. Why are JITs and Provincial Task Force meetings not held monthly?” questioned the court. The court summoned DIG Investigation AVCC. The court ordered to submission of the report on February 13.
