Nurse found dead in hospital washroom

TOBA TEK SINGH: A staff nurse was found dead in washroom of the Faisalabad DHQ hospital on Thursday night.

Reports said Fareeha Aslam (32) was on duty in medical ward. Sources said it seemed she went to washroom where she died of a cardiac arrest.

Police have taken the body into custody and are investigating the matter.

ARMS RECOVERED: Heavy quantity of weapons were recovered by Hafizabad`s Pindi Bhattian Saddar police in wee hours on Thursday from a car on motorway M-4.

Police said suspect Muhammad Rehan was trying to smuggle 150 rifles and 27,000 bullets from Peshawar to Faisalabad. As the road was closed due to heavy fog, he came out of his car and police searched the vehicle on suspicion. The personnel found arms and bullets and arrested the suspect.

ACCIDENT: A man and his son died after a trailer ran over their motorcycle at Faisalabad on Khurrianwala -Jaranwala Road on Thursday night near Chak 77 RB.

Rescue 1122 officials said Zakir Hussain (59) of Chak 103 RB and his son Muhammad Usman (28) were critically wounded and died instantly.

At Chak Jhumra near Shaheen Chowk, a truck hit a motorcycle as a result biker Shah Din (54) and his son Imtiaz (26) of Khanqah Dogran, Sheikhupura, were seriously injured.

They were being shifted to Chak Jhumra THQ hospital when Shah Din succumbed to his injuries. Correspondent
