Man stabs brother-in-law to death over dispute – 11 May 2022
TOBA TEK SINGH: A young man stabbed his brother-in-law to death and injured his father over a dispute at Chak 321JB, Seowal, on Tuesday.
The city police said Babar went to see Sakhawat Ali with whom his sister was married two months ago but she had returned to her parents` house for having estrange d relations. Babar and Sakhawat exchanged harsh words after which the former attacked the latter as well as his (Sakhawat`s) father with a sharp-edged utensil.
Sakhawat succumbed to his injuries when he was being shifted to the DHQ hospital while Asghar Ali was admitted to the health facility.
Police arrested the suspect.
HONOUR KILLING: A young man shot dead his sister on the pretext of honour at Kamalia`s Chak 735 GB.
The Kamalla Saddar police said the woman had come to see her parents where her brother Muhammad Ashfaq Marth shot her for being suspicious about her activities. She was taken to the THQ hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.
In another case, the Pirmahal police have registered a murder case against Ghulam Abbas, a resident of Chak 748 GB, and his father on the charge of poisoning his wife Perveen Bibi to death.Complainant Sajid Ali claimed in the FIR that Ghulam Abbas and his father Muhammad Nawaz gave poison to his sister due to a dispute.
Police shifted the body to the Pirmahal THQ hospital for autopsy and arrested the suspects.
POWER METERS: More than 106,000 new domestic, commercial and industrial meters have been installed during the last four months in the eight districts falling in the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) jurisdiction.
S u p e r i n t e n d i n g Engineers (SEs) of the five operation circles have been directed to install new connections on a priority, says General Manager (GM) Customer Services Engineer Itrat Hussain.
At a meeting held in Faisalabad on Tuesday, he said Fesco installed 7,547 electricity meters in January, 33,075 meters in February, 42,647 meters in March and 22,825 meters in April. He said Fesco would get 400,000 meters very soon for the installation of new connections.
He said that in the light of the special directives of the Board of Directors (BODs) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bashir Ahmed, Fesco`s Customer Services is being equipped with the state-of-the-art interactive screens, landline telephones and paperless working so that consumers` problems could be solved immediately.
