WAH CANTT: Police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly beating and misbehaving with his elderly father under the Parents Protection Ordinance 2021. The victim had lodged an application with the Wah Cantonment police stating that his son Usman threatened him with dire consequences for not giving him money. The complainant told the police his son misbehaved with him and thrashed and abused him and threw him out of home when we refused to pay him money. Police sent the accused behind bars. Under the ordinance, eviction of parents from home is a punishable offence with a prison term of up to one year, or fine, or both. APP
