JARANWALA: A man allegedly fatally shot his sister over a family dispute. The complainant, Muhammad Wasim, a resident of 659-GB and husband of the slain woman, told the police that his wife and her brothers Shahbaz Ali and Akbar Ali and some other people had gathered at his late wife’s uncle’s house the other day. The complainant alleged that Shahbaz and the victim got into a heated argument outside the sitting room where Shahbaz Ali allegedly opened fire on the complainant’s wife, using a 30-bore pistol. One of the bullets struck Wasim’s wife’s head and the other her eye. She was shifted to hospital where she died from her injuries. The police handed over the body to her heirs after the postmortem examination and registered a case against the suspect. The deceased had a four-year-old daughter.
