RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man allegedly involved in defrauding citizens by making fake promises of jobs abroad. According to FIA officials, a team headed by Inspector Syed Shabbir Abbas took action on the special instructions of FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Cell Deputy Director Amna Baig and arrested the suspect named Amir Zaib, a resident of Buner. They said the suspect was apprehended from Buner by the team. The suspect was involved in taking money from innocent people and sending them abroad illegally. The accused had extorted millions of rupees from several people on the pretext of sending them abroad, they said. Many of them, they said, were offloaded and deported due to incomplete or fake documents prepared by the suspect. The FIA has started an investigation after obtaining a physical remand of the accused, they said. OUR CORRESPONDENT
