Couple slaughtered for `honour’ – 13 May 2023
LAHORE: A couple were stabbed to death in a house in Wahdat Colony, reportedly for honour, on Friday. Police had received reports on the 15 Helpline about a burglary incident, but as a team reached the house, they found it locked from the inside. The team forced their way into the house and found the couple with their throats slit. Police later arrested two suspects, Shafqat and Bilal, and allegedly recovered a knife and a handgun from their possession. The suspects had allegedly slaughtered the victim, Um-e-Kalsoom and an unidentified man. Um-e-Kalsoom was Bilal’s sister and Shafqat’s wife. OUR CORRESPONDENT
