Child victim of torture rescued – 12 Dec 2022
LAHORE: Sabzazar police recovered a 1o-year-old maid with marks of severe torture on her body. Police responded to a call reporting the incident of torture. The caller alerted police about screams of the victim. Police entered the house and rescued the victim. She had been employed as domestic help for the last three months. She alleged that her employers subjected her to severe beatings over minor issues and she had marks of torture on her body. Police arrested the house’s owner Umair Sharif, registered a case against him and were investigating the matter. OUR CORRESPONDENT
