Boy assaulted in Abbottabad – 15 Sep 2022
CHARSADDA: An 11-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted in Abbottabad after he was taken there by a neighbour on the pretext of providing him work and education.
According to sources, the boy hailing from Charsadda was sent by a neighbour, Masal Khan, to Abbottabad on Sept 4 on the promise that one of his friends there would provide him education and work.
However, on September 8, the boy called his father f rom Abbottabad, and asked him to send him money so he could return to his home.
After reaching home, he told his father that as soon as he reached Abbottabad, a person, namely Afroz, started sexually abusing him and continued to do so for three consecutive days.
Afterwards, the boy`s father lodged an FIR with the Abbottabad police under sections 377 and 109 of PPC and section 53 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Child Protection and Welfare Act.
Meanwhile, grief struck the people of Charsadda after the news of the incident went viral on social media.
The locals held a jirga and assured the family that they would stand by them till justice was done to them.
