Victim had filed complaint with FIA about threats

At least 15 people opened indiscriminate fire at the home of an overseas Pakistani, injuring an employee and damaging the doors of the house and a car. The attackers were reportedly enraged because the victim had built playground in the village and submitted an application to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in this regard.

The attackers also entered the house and stole two Kalashnikovs, a rifle and several other valuable items.

After the video of the firing at the gate went viral on social media, the police notice of the incident and registered a case.

Thikriwala police also raided several places to arrest the attackers.

According to the police, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, a resident of Chak 40JB, stated in his complained that he took care pf the house and land of his maternal uncle Intikhab Ali Khan, who was residing abroad. He said 15 people, including Khawar Abbas, Alamdar Hussain, Mudassar Hussain, Tasawwur Hussain and Nayab Ali, came to the house on motorcycles and two cars and opened fire at the house of Intikhab.

Farman Ali, the son of Ibad Ali, a servant deputed at the house ran inside amid the firing, but the attackers barged in behind him.

The complainant said two men, Ashfaq and Pervaiz Ahmed, also came to the spot after hearing the sound of the firing.

Meanwhile, Nayab Ali fired at Farman who fell down with bullet injuries.

The complainant said the suspects spread panic by firing indiscriminately inside and outside the house and damaged the car and doors and windows on the house.

He said the attackers had also taken away two watches worth Rs6 million, two Kalashnikovs, a rifle and about 100 rounds along with other items from the house before escaping.

He stated that Intikhab had constructed a playground in the village, due to which the suspects had threatened him. “We had submitted an application to the FIA in Faisalabad about the threats,” he stated.

A video clip of the shooting went viral on the social media, after which the police registered the case against the suspects and carried out raids to arrest them.
